Pressure relief valve (PRV)
Pressure relief valves (PRV) are integrated into a hydraulic circuit to limit the maximum pressure that occurs. The PRV is NEVER pre-adjusted. It must always be adjusted with a pressure gauge in the installed condition!
The pressure must always be adjusted to the weakest component in the hydraulic circuit and set below the permissible pressure of this component! In the hydraulic system of function models, this is usually the plastic hoses.
The PRV is connected to the pressure line at port P and to the tank at port T.
